Pittsburgh Steelers Preview

Season so far: Pittsburgh opened with a 20-13 home win over Atlanta, sealed by T.J. Watt’s fourth-quarter interception return for a touchdown. The Steelers then lost 20-3 at New England, a game in which Aaron Rodgers was sacked four times and fumbled twice. They bounced back Sunday with a 30-27 win over Cincinnati, when Chris Boswell’s 33-yard field goal with 2:18 left put them ahead and Derrick Harmon’s late strip-sack of Joe Burrow ended it (AP). The Steelers have scored 53 points and allowed 60.

Quarterback and key players: Rodgers, 42, is 66 of 113 for 700 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions (ESPN). He threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns against the Bengals, working behind a reshuffled line that included rookie first-round right tackle Max Iheanachor. Jaylen Warren leads the team with 216 rushing yards, including 176 scrimmage yards on Sunday while playing through a shoulder issue. Roman Wilson leads in receiving (11 catches, 114 yards). Watt has 3.5 sacks and Payton Wilson has 27 tackles.

Injuries: ESPN’s injury tracker lists RB Rico Dowdle (toe) as out, CB Jalen Ramsey (wrist) and CB Brandin Echols (concussion) as questionable, and G Gennings Dunker (knee) and S DeShon Elliott on injured reserve. Official Thursday-game injury reports come out during this short practice week.

The Browns then won 23-19 at Tampa Bay, a game delayed more than two hours by lightning, as Deshaun Watson went 24 of 30 for 238 yards. On Sunday they beat Carolina 21-18: Watson hit Harold Fannin Jr. for a 14-yard touchdown with 1:48 left, then found Denzel Boston for the two-point conversion. It was their second straight comeback win (AP). Cleveland has scored 54 points and allowed 71.

Quarterback and key players: Watson is back after tearing his right Achilles twice and is 56 of 82 for 587 yards with five touchdowns and one interception (ESPN). Shedeur Sanders is also on the roster. Quinshon Judkins has 124 rushing yards. Denzel Boston leads the receivers with nine catches for 195 yards and two scores. Injuries: ESPN lists CB Tyson Campbell (knee) as out. S Grant Delpit (shoulder), WR Tylan Wallace (knee), OT Tytus Howard (knee) and C Elgton Jenkins (concussion) are questionable.
