2025-26 recap: Winnipeg went 35-35-12 (82 points), finished seventh in the Central Division and missed the playoffs one year after winning the Presidents’ Trophy. Mark Scheifele had 36 goals and 103 points, Kyle Connor had 39 goals and 92 points, and Gabriel Vilardi set career highs with 30 goals and 69 points. With that trio together at 5-on-5, the Jets scored 47 goals, the most of any forward line in the NHL (NHL.com).
Offseason moves: Winnipeg signed goalie Stuart Skinner (two years, $7.5 million), defenseman Mario Ferraro (three years, $12 million; 137 hits and 150 blocked shots for San Jose last season), forward Noah Gregor and defenseman Henry Thrun. Cole Perfetti signed a five-year contract on July 15. Jonathan Toews retired, Eric Comrie signed with San Jose and Gustav Nyquist left as a free agent.
