2025-26 recap: Philadelphia went 43-27-12 (98 points), finished third in the Metropolitan Division and beat Pittsburgh in six games in the first round before Carolina swept the Flyers in the second round. Their power play finished last in the NHL (Flyers.com). Travis Konecny led the team with 68 points (27 goals, 41 assists), Trevor Zegras had 67 points and Owen Tippett scored a team-high 28 goals.
Offseason moves: Philadelphia acquired goalie Joseph Woll and defenseman Simon Benoit from Toronto on June 16 for goalie Samuel Ersson, defenseman Emil Andrae and a third-round selection, and signed forward Noel Acciari to a two-year contract. Garnet Hathaway left for Florida, and Anaheim matched the Flyers’ offer sheet for center Leo Carlsson (NHL.com, Flyers.com).

2025-26 recap: Ottawa went 44-27-11 (99 points), finished fifth in the Atlantic Division and made the playoffs for the second straight season before the eventual champion Carolina Hurricanes swept the Senators in the first round. Stutzle led the team with 83 points (34 goals, 49 assists), Drake Batherson scored 33 goals and Dylan Cozens scored 28 (NHL.com).
Offseason moves: Ottawa traded captain Brady Tkachuk to Florida on June 21 for the No. 9 and No. 25 selections in the 2026 draft and more, then sent the No. 9 selection to San Jose for forward William Eklund (53 points last season). The Senators acquired forward Andre Burakovsky from Chicago and signed goalie Samuel Ersson to a two-year, $4.4 million contract (NHL.com, TSN).
