The Kraken ranked 28th in scoring, 23rd in goals against (3.13 per game), 20th on the power play (19.5 percent) and 31st on the penalty kill (72.2 percent) (NHL.com). Captain Jordan Eberle led the team with 55 points.
Offseason moves: Forward Bobby McMann, acquired from Toronto in March, signed a six-year, $34.5 million contract. Seattle acquired Mackie Samoskevich from Florida for a first-round selection and a conditional second and signed him to a three-year deal, and added forward Curtis Douglas. Eeli Tolvanen (now with the Rangers), Jaden Schwartz (Colorado) and defenseman Jamie Oleksiak (Vancouver) are gone.
